Change Item ID

Use the Change Item ID routine to change the ID for an item at all locations and for all inventory associated with the item.  This includes changing the Item ID for any associated history transactions.

Tip:  This routine will alter the Item ID in the following database tables:

• tbl_inventory_master

• tbl_inventory_location

• tbl_inventory_serialized_trans

• tbl_inventory_transaction

• tbl_inventory_transaction_hist

• tbl_physical_inventory

• tbl_inventory_serial

Directions:

To see directions for...

• Opening Change Item ID, click More.

   

  1.  Click Utilities from the Menu Bar.

  2.  Click Change Item ID.

• Choosing the Selections at the Prompt Window, click More.

   

  Change ID Item Prompts Tip:  To see more information about a field, click the hyperlink for the field name.
  Current Item ID	Enter the ID for the item to be changed.  Or, click Search to look for the item ID.
  New Item ID	Enter the new ID to assign to the item.
  	To make the change, click Change Item ID.
  	To escape from the routine without changing an Item ID, click Cancel.
