Delete Item

Use the Delete Item routine to delete all inventory records associated with a specified item.  A report of the deleted records is provided for an audit trail.  There is an option to delete any serial numbers associated with the item as well.

Note:  The Delete Item routine will not delete associated history records for the item.

Directions:

To see directions for...

• Opening Delete Item, click More.

   

  1.  Click Utilities from the Menu Bar.

  2.  Click Delete Item.

• Choosing the Selections at the Prompt Window, click More.

   

  Delete Item Prompts Tip:  To see more information about a field, click the hyperlink for the field name.
  Item	Enter the Item ID to delete from inventory.   Or, click Search to look for the item ID.
  Delete Serial Numbers associated with this Item	To remove any serial numbers associated with this item, click to select the checkbox. Or, to omit removing serial numbers leave this box unchecked.
  	To remove the Item from inventory, click Delete Item.
  	To escape from the routine without deleting an item, click Cancel.
