Delete Location

Use the Delete Location routine to remove a location and all associated inventory at the location.  There is an option to maintain the location definition and only delete inventory entries at that location.  This allows location history to correctly display the locations.  There is an option to delete serial number records associated with the location as well.  NDS recommends using this option to remove serial number records.

To see directions for...

• Opening Delete Location, click More.

   

  1.  Click Utilities from the Menu Bar.

  2.  Click Delete Location.

• Choosing the Selections at the Prompt Window, click More.

   

  Delete Location Prompts Tip:  To see more information about a field, click the hyperlink for the field name.
  Location	To specify the location to remove, click to select the desired location from the drop-down list.
  Delete Location Definition	To delete the location definition, click to check the box.  Or, to leave the location definition and only delete the cross records leave this box unchecked.   Note:  Leave the Delete Location Definition unchecked to allow the location history to correctly display the locations.
  Delete Serial Number Records	To delete all serial number records at the selected location, click to check the box.  Or, to save all serial number records at the selected location, leave the box unchecked. Note:  NDS recommends using this option to remove serial number records associated with the location.
  	To view transaction post logs, click Search.
