Field Description - General Ledger Account Number

The General Ledger Account Number is the key field for the General Ledger Chart of Accounts.  The format of the General Ledgers' Account Number is very flexible, allowing you to determine the length of the Account Number and how it is subdivided into one or more elements.  G/L Account Numbers

Tip:  Appropriations Account Numbers are typically used by municipalities  in place of General Ledger Account Numbers.
