Field Description - Geo Code

The Geo Code is the key field that uniquely identifies the primary registrant's legal Maine residence.  There is a Geo Code assigned for every municipality in the state.  The state establishes the codes, which are also called legal residence codes, residence codes or geo codes.

Note:  A Geo Code must be assigned to each vehicle registration.
