Field Description - Ret-ME MSR Position Classification Code
The Ret-ME MSR Position Classification Code (also referred to as the Class Code) represents the employee's job role.
Note: The first character of the Position Code has special meaning. For the MSR Build Monthly Work File, you can select employees by one of the following first characters:
0 = Participating Local District
N = School Support
Y = Teachers
Examples: The following list contains only a small sampling of codes established by the MainePERS.
0000 - Retiree Insured Code Only
09901 - Member With or Without Insurance
09902 - Participant Insurance Only
09903 - Firefighter
09904 - Police Officer
09905 - Law Enforcement Officer
NNNN - Retired Insured Code Only
N0199 - Assistant to Superintendent (MSRS)
N9902 - Participant Insurance Only
Y0101 - Classroom Teacher
Y0105 - Special Education Teacher
Y0301 - Librarian/Media Specialist
Y0307 - Librarian Assistant
Tips:
For the employee to be included in the MSR Build Monthly Work File, this field must not be blank in the employee's Employee Master record.
