Backing Up Preferences and Settings
Use the directions below to back up the preferences and settings for your PC. If you make many changes to your PC's preferences and settings backing up is a convenient way to maintain a copy of this information. If you need to restore your PC information or set up a new PC, using this back up you will be able to restore this information as well. Preferences and Settings include window colors, function keys, backdrop and other variables assigned to this PC.
Note: If you make changes to your PC preferences and settings, backing up using the directions below is suggested.
To back up preferences and settings ...
At your desktop right-click the START button to see a shortcut menu.
Click Explore.
Insert a disk in your PC floppy drive.
On the PC local drive, navigate to the directory called NDS.
Copy the directory NDS to your floppy drive.
Label
this floppy disk and maintain it in a safe place!
Note: You
can use this disk to restore your PC settings and preferences if you ever
need to.
