About Tax Billing Workbench
The Invision software application consists of a broad product line containing modules that all work together for today's local government office needs. The Tax Billing Workbench works in conjunction with the other Invision modules, including Tax Assessing and Cash Receipts, for complete support of the local government office. This state-of-the-art trio of modules allows the government office to handle tax needs and to better serve its residents. As a comprehensive local government system, Tax Billing provides a seamless migration between the modules, with no need to duplicate data entry already performed within the Assessing Workbench module.
Tax Billing is designed to maintain tax accounts and the corresponding detail for each tax year. The Real Estate and Personal Property accounts that are created through the Tax Assessing Workbench module are used to calculate and create the Tax Accounts in Tax Billing. These Tax Accounts (referred to as Tax Masters) are used to calculate taxes, print tax bills, and maintain the balances of what is owed by each individual for each tax year. Tax Masters are used for a variety of reports and inquiries.
Tax Billing can generate a variety of bills. You can further enhance ease of use by choosing to have NDS print and mail laser-generated bills for you. The easy-to-read bill format reduces confusion from property owners and makes this cost-effective process hassle-free.
