Not Marked For Billing
Use Not Marked For Billing to quickly get a count of the number of encounters that have not been marked for billing. To the right of Not Marked For Billing is a number in red that indicates the number of encounters not marked for billing. In addition, you can click Not Marked For Billing to list all the encounters that have not been marked for billing by the provider. Using this list you can drill down to the encounter detail and then mark encounters for billing, allowing them to be processed.
Generally, if an encounter is listed as Not Marked For Billing it indicates that the provider didn't click READY To BILL on the Assessment/Plan tab.
Do not confuse Not Marked To Bill with Not Marked For Billing. They are two separate menu selections and two separate functions.

Patient |
Displays the Patient First Name and Patient Last Name. |
Acct # |
Displays the Patient Account Number. |
Enc # |
Displays the Encounter Number assigned to the patient's visit. |
Enc Date |
Displays the date of the patient's visit. |
Attending |
Displays the name of the provider who saw the patient during the patient's visit. |
Ready |
To mark the encounter as ready for billing, click to check Ready. Note: Generally, if an encounter is listed as Not Marked For Billing it indicates that the provider did not click READY To BILL on the Assessment/Plan tab. |
Billed |
Displays a blank if the encounter has not been billed and a check to indicate the patient's encounter has been billed. Note: If Billed is not checked the encounter has not been billed. |
Contacts |
Displays the patient Contact information that was maintained during the patient's visit. |
Spectacles |
Displays the patient Spectacle information that was maintained during the patient's visit. |
Marking an Encounter for Billing, click More.
CAUTION: All
entries are automatically saved without further actions.
To indicate that an encounter is ready for billing, mark it for billing by simply clicking the Ready checkbox.
