Common HPI Template Maintenance
Use Common HPI Template Maintenance to maintain templates consisting of the forty most common HPI (History of Present Illness) elements that a provider sees during an encounter. A HPI template allows you to quickly enter patient encounter information. You can maintain a single template or have as many templates as desired including templates that can be used for condition-specific situations such as, diabetes or glaucoma.
Notes:
NDS recommends that your practice establishes a standard list for the most common HPI. You should assign STD as the Template ID and the template name is assigned Standard.
For more information about working with data in fields, see the Data Entry Guidelines.
