Federal Income Tax Table Tables
Use the Federal Income Tax Table Tables to maintain the federal income tax withholding information for married, single, Head of Household, Married - Box 2 Checked, Single - Box 2 Checked, and Head of Household - Box 2 employees. You must maintain these tables for Medicare-Only FICA employees, as specified by the Employee FICA Code. This applies to facilities with Regular FICA-exempt employees, such as municipalities who participate in the Maine State Retirement System (MSRS).
Tips:
These tables reflect the annualized tax tables published by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The gross earnings are based on the calculated annual earnings, not on the pay period earnings.
Normally, you must update the tax tables with applicable rate changes once each year - after generating W-2s and before running the first payroll of the calendar year.
