Export Positive Pay File

Use the Positive Pay Export routine to copy the Positive Pay Export file to a designated location on a workstation.  The export file will be formatted to the specifications of the financial institution that is receiving the file.

Note:  When the export is finished, you are ready to follow the financial institution's directions for uploading the Positive Pay file to their site.

To see directions for...

• Opening the Work File Build routine, click More.

   

  1.  Click Payroll from the Menu.

  2.  Click Daily Work.

  3.  Click Positive Pay Export.

  4.  Click Positive Pay Export.
  
  Or, use the keyboard shortcut:  [ALT] [p] [d] [x] [x].

• Choosing the selections, click More.

   

  Positive Pay Export Options
  Destination ID	The Destination ID defaults to what was selected the last time the export was run.  (up to 20 characters)  The destination ID provides information about how the export file is formatted. Or, to search for a destination ID, click  or press [CTRL + f], if needed.
  Destination File	The Destination file defaults to the last one used.  The destination file contains the name of the Positive Pay Export file and the location to which it will be exported. You can click Browse to look for a different location and destination file, if needed.
  	To begin, click Export, or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + p] Or, to escape from the export routine, click close .
  Status Pane	The status area displays messages as the export processes.  When finished, the following message displays *** Process Complete ****. Tip:  To print a copy of the status report, click Print.
  	To close the window when the routine is complete, click Done. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + r]
