Positive Pay Export Journal Instructions

Use the Positive Pay Export Journal to generate a listing of the check information in the export file.  Use the journal to verify that the appropriate checks are in the file before it is exported.

Note:  Maintain a final copy of the journal for a complete audit trail.

To see directions for...

• Opening the Positive Pay Export Journal, click More.

   

  1.  Click Payroll from the Menu.

  2.  Click Daily Work.

  3.  Click Positive Pay Export.

  4.  Click Export Journal.
  
  Or, use the keyboard shortcut:  [ALT] [p] [d] [x] [j].

• Choosing the selections, click More.

   

  Positive Pay Export Journal Options
  Employee Name	To report all checks, please leave the From and To fields blank.   Or, to report a range of employees in the export file, in the From field enter the beginning employee name for the range.  Then, enter the ending employee name in the To field.
  Employee #	To report all checks, please leave the From and To fields blank.   Or, to report a range of employee numbers in the export file, in the From field enter the beginning employee number for the range.  Then, enter the ending employee number in the To field.
  Check Number	To report all checks, please leave the From and To fields blank.   Or, to report a range of check numbers in the export file, in the From field enter the beginning check number for the range.  Then, enter the ending check number in the To field.
  Check Date	To report all checks, please leave the From and To fields blank.   Or, to report a range of check dates in the export file, in the From field enter the beginning check date for the range.  Then, enter the ending check date in the To field.
  Sort By	To specify how the journal should be sorted, click to select a choice in the drop-down list: Employee Name, Employee Number, Check Number, or Check Date.
  Subtotal by Check Date	To include for each check date, an accumulated dollar amount of the checks, click to check this box.  Or, to omit subtotals, leave this box blank.
  	To begin printing, click Print, or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + p] Or, to escape from the journal without printing, click Cancel .
