The Charge Entry Tracking Number is an identifier assigned to the charge for tracking purposes. The Charge Entry Tracking Number and the Batch Charge ID are two different fields and have separate functions.
Example uses:
track nurses' productivity
maintain the ordering physician on a ticket-by-ticket basis
maintain the time the charge is entered
Notes:
The tracking number is informational only and can be used for reporting purposes.
The INSight .PARAM Record controls if the Tracking Number is active and how many characters are allowed.
