Field Description - Patient Balance

The Patient Balance amount is an accumulation of the services that are the responsibility of the patient, minus all patient payments, patient related adjustments and refunds made to the patient account.  The patient is responsible for payment of this balance.

Notes:

• You can view the Patient Balance during Patient Entry - Balance Detail Window, and at the Payment Entry - Patient Balances Area.

• The system updates this field, so you do not normally need to edit it.
