Scheduling Override Code Maintenance
Use Scheduling Override Code Maintenance to maintain information about schedule overrides. This includes the reasons for the overrides, override descriptions, and override occurrences tracking. Override Codes are used to schedule appointments when you normally can't. For example, you use an Override Code to schedule an appointment for an appointment type that is not allowed, schedule an appointment with a provider having inadequate or expired insurance coverage, or schedule an appointment with a scheduling provider whose state license is expired.
Tips:
You may find it handy to restrict use of Override Codes to specific operators. For more information, see Scheduling Operator Maintenance.
For more information about working with data in fields, see Data Entry Guidelines.
Note: If User Scheduling Preferences are set, the master schedule displays the Override Icon next to all scheduled appointments requiring an Override.
