Field Description - Period

The Period is the time period reflected by a set of financial statements.  A period usually encompasses one month or four weeks.  The General Ledger provides fourteen periods for each Fiscal Year - one for each month, a 13th period for facilities that use thirteen four-week periods, and a 14th period for closing.

Note:  Periods are often displayed in a list, and each period includes the Period Number with the Period Description.
