Create Export File
Use the Create Export File routine to create a work file of the accounts and associated meter information to be included in the meter export file. The Create Export File is controlled by the meter export ID.
Notes:
Messages display the status of the process. When Done displays the routine is complete. Review all of the processing messages to make sure the routine completed properly. You can print the exception report and review any exceptions to the account and meter information. For example, the exception report lists inactive accounts and customers with missing meter numbers. If the exception report lists customers with missing meter errors, make the necessary corrections and process the Create Export File again.
You can specify the customer cycle numbers to be excluded by this process during Meter Export Maintenance.
The
read variance table determines the minimum and maximum
readings for the meter export file.

To open:
From the Export/Import Control panel, click Create Export File .
Or, click Daily Work from the Menu,
click Billing, click
Meter Communications, and
then click Export File.
Or, use the keyboard
shortcut: [ALT] [y [b] [m]
[f].

Enter the meter export ID for creating the Meter Export file. (up to 20 characters) Note: To search for a Meter Export ID, click or press [CTRL + f]. |

Meter Reader |
The name of the meter reading device assigned to the meter export ID displays for your reference. |
Read Date |
Enter the date the meters will be read or an approximate date the meters will be read. (mm/dd/ccyy) |
Cycle |
Enter the meter reader export cycle for the export, if applicable. (2.0 numeric) Notes:

To select the book numbers to include in the export, check the desired boxes. Tip: It is important to review the selected book numbers to verify which ones are being exported. |

Process Status |
Displays information pertaining to the various phases of the process to guide you. |
Important: The status displays Complete when the process is ended. In addition, the Message window displays Process Ended and Process Ended to alert you when the routine is complete, as well as the following message: |
