Meter Testing Create Workfile

Use the Meter Testing Create Workfile routine to create a workfile of meters to be tested.  Generally, regulations require utilities to test service meters on a periodic basis.  This routine allows you to create a file containing meter information of meters that were installed during a specified time period and are due to be tested again.

Notes:  

• The Meter testing routines only pertain to meters and not to other types of billing references.

• Opening the Meter Testing Create Workfile Routine, click More.

   

  1.  Click Processes from the Menu Bar.

  2.  Click Meter Testing.

  3.  Click Create Workfile.

  Meter Testing Create Workfile Prompts Tip:  To see more information about a field, click the hyperlink for the field name.
  Services	To select the services to consider, click to check the appropriate services listed. Tip:  To quickly select or de-select all services listed, click Check All .
  Companies	To select the companies to consider, click to check the appropriate companies listed. Tip:  To quickly select or de-select all companies listed, click Check All .
  Status	To select the statuses to consider, click to check the appropriate statuses listed. Tip:  To quickly select or de-select all statuses listed, click Check All .
  Books	To select the books to consider, click to check the appropriate books listed. Tip:  To quickly select or de-select all books listed, click Check All .
  Rate Class	To select the rate classes to consider, click to check the appropriate rate classes listed. Tip:  To quickly select or de-select all rate classes listed, click Check All .
  Installed Date From	To limit the meters being tested to a specific range of installed dates, enter the beginning Install Date in the range.  (mmddccyy, slashes and century optional) Tip:  To include all dates, leave blank.
  Installed Date Through	To limit the meters being tested to a range of dates, enter the ending Install Date in the range.  (mmddccyy, slashes and century optional) Tip:  To include all dates, leave blank.
  Process Date	To accept the system date as the Meter Testing Process Date, press [TAB] or enter another date as the Meter Testing Process Date. (mmddccyy, slashes and century optional)
  	To run the routine and generate the report, click Proceed or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + p]
  	To escape from the routine: Click Cancel. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + c] Or, click Close .
  Status	Displays information pertaining to the various phases of the Create Workfile process to guide you. Note:  The status displays COMPLETE when the process is ended.  In addition, the Message window displays Process Ended to alert you when the routine is complete and displays the number of meter tests in the workfile.
  	To close the Meter Testing Create Workfile program when Complete displays and the routine is finished, click Close .
