Tables are special files that contain settings and parameters that are maintainable, although usually remain unchanged over long periods of time. The data in tables are organized in a rows and columns. Multiple modules can share tables and many Cash Receipts Tables can be maintained in the Assessing and Tax Billing modules.

There are two types of tables, categorized by the format of the data:
ALPHA: contains alphanumeric data, identifiable by the code END in the last row.
NUMERIC: contains only numeric data, identifiable by the code 999999.99 in the last row.
