Check Protection Table Maintenance - ONES and TENS
Use Check Protection Table Maintenance to maintain the spelled-out versions of numbers to be printed on Payroll checks and A/P checks. Two tables, called ONES and TENS, contain the spelled-out words.

You can also maintain the same table in the Payroll module, if installed.

Opening Check Protection Table Maintenance, click More.
1. Click Fund Accounting from the Menu Bar.
2. Click File Maintenance.
3. Click Table Maintenance.
4. Click Alpha Tables.
5. Click
AP Check Protection (Ones & Tens).

Creating a New Check Protection Table, click More.
Note: You can not create any new Check Protection tables. The necessary tables are created during the software installation and updates. To maintain the Check Protection tables, see the instructions for editing later in this topic.
Editing an Existing Check Protection Table, click More.
CAUTION: To avoid losing data, you must save changed records.
1. To display the record to be changed, click ONES or TENS in the drop-down list. The selected table displays immediately.
2. To position the pointer to the information that you want to change, press [TAB] or click the field using the mouse.
3. Enter the data changes.
4. To
complete the edit process, click Save , or press
[ENTER].

To specify which table you want to maintain, click one of the following Table IDs in the drop-down list. (predefined)
Required Tip: This maintenance is for two tables, with table containing a single record. | |
To update the changed information, click Save or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut: [ALT + s] | |

To display an existing Check Protection Table, select the Table ID. The program automatically clicks Retrieve for you. Keyboard shortcut: [ALT + t] | |
Enter the Table Title. (up to 14 characters) Suggestion: Enter "ONES" or "TENS". | |
Enter the Table Description. (up to 79 characters) Suggestion: "CHECK PROTECTION - SPELL OUT AMOUNTS" | |

Enter the spelled-out words for numbers 1 through 19. (up to 12 characters) Examples: ONE, TWO, THREE |
TENS Table: Description 20 - 90 |
Enter the spelled-out words for the multiples of ten (10 - 90). (up to 12 characters) Examples: TEN, TWENTY, THIRTY |
Deleting an Existing Check Protection Table, click More.
Note: To maintain data integrity, you can not delete any Check Protection tables.
CAUTION After making changes to a Check Protection table,
you must completely exit
from the Fund Accounting module before the changes will become available
to other programs.
