General Ledger Verification Report Instructions
Use the General Ledger Verification Report to compare the Period Balances for an account. You can see columns for each Account Number including a range of the first six Periods or the last seven Periods of the year, and account totals. You can specify to print the report for the current Fiscal Year or for a year in history, and you can limit the accounts on the report by Account Element.

This report is available in the following formats:
80-Column Format: Set during System Parameters at the Print tab.
132-Column Format: Set during System Parameters at the Print tab.
Enhanced View: Set during Print View at the View menu.

Grand totals for each Period should be zero. If not, then the Period is clearly out of balance.
The Periods 1-6 report prints the beginning balance and the account totals sum up only Periods 1 through 6.
The Periods 7-13 report omits the beginning balance and the account totals sum up all Periods (1-13).

activate the General

Application Control must be set up for the module during installation.

To specify which Fiscal Year for the Period Balances to include in the report, click one of the following options in the drop-down list:

To select accounts by Account Element to be included in the report, enter the from and to values (inclusive) for each applicable Element. (format varies) Tip: Leave ranges blank to include all Elements. |
