Class Code Detail Maintenance
Use Class Code Detail Maintenance to maintain vehicle classes with their associated rates and codes. The purpose of class codes is to group vehicles into types of vehicles such as, car, truck, trailer, etc. Class codes can also identify specialty license plates, such as, lobster, loon, black bear plates or the status of the owner as in the case of a veteran. The Class Code is used to determine the vehicle registration rates and additional fees as is with specialty plates.
Generally, the Class Codes are set during installation and upgrades and do not change.
The Post Receipt Transactions automatically update the appropriate values for the class codes.
For more information about working with data in fields, see the Data Entry Guidelines.
