Launching Windows

Similarly to other Microsoft® Windows® applications, you can open multiple occurrences of selected windows on your screen.  This is a convenient way to compare and contrast information.

Note:  You can only launch multiple windows for the functions listed on the Launch Windows sub-menu.  The available functions vary among modules.

• To open an additional window:

1. Click Windows from the Menu Bar, and then click Launch Windows.
   Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT] [w] [l]

2. At the sub-menu, click the name of the function you want to display in another window.

• Employee Master Maintenance
  Keyboard shortcuts:  [CTRL + SHIFT + e] or [ALT] [w] [l] [e]

• Payroll Check Entry
  Keyboard shortcuts:  [CTRL + SHIFT + p] or [ALT] [w] [l] [c]
   

• To change how the windows are arranged on the screen:

1. Click Windows from the Menu Bar.
   Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT] [w]

2. Click one of the following display options:

3. Cascade - Step-like stack of windows
   Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT] [w] [c]

4. Tile Vertically - Columns of windows
   Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT] [w] [v]

5. Tile Horizontally - Rows of windows
   Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT] [w] [h]
