MSR Export Destination Maintenance
Use MSR Export Destination Maintenance to maintain information about the transmission file name and location.

Opening MSR Export Destination File Maintenance, click More.
Click Payroll from the Menu Bar.
Click Government Reports.
Click MSR Magnetic Filing.
Click
MSR Export Destination FM.
Tip: Or,
use the keyboard shortcut:

[e] [g] [m] [m].
MSR Export Destination Maintenance Window Example:
Creating a new MSR Export Destination Record, click More.
To create a new record choose one of these methods:
Enter
the new Destination ID and click
Retrieve , or press
[ENTER].

+ t]
Or,
enter the new Destination ID and
click File from the Menu
Bar; next click New.
Keyboard shortcut: [ALT]
[f] [n]
Tip: To indicate that you are building a new Destination record, New displays near the Destination ID. Default entries display and the first field is highlighted to let you know you can begin entering information. Normally, you only need one Destination record defined.

Destination ID |
Enter the Destination ID for this file name and location. (up to 20 characters) Tip: NDS recommends "MSREXPORT", although any ID is acceptable. |
To update the new or changed information, click Save or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut: [ALT + s] | |
CAUTION To avoid losing data, you must save new or changed records. | |
To view all of the existing Destination records, click Search. From the Search list you can select the record to change or delete. Keyboard shortcut: [ALT + r] | |
To display an existing Destination record, enter the Destination ID and click Retrieve, or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut: [ALT + t] | |

Always click No Delimiter in the drop-down list. (predefined) |
File Name |
Enter the path and name of the transmission file. (up to 80 characters) Example: c:\klhtemp\TCPOR09.06A Notes: The path and file name use the following format:

Category |
Enter the Category ID that is used to group transactions together for processing purposes, if applicable. |
Header Record |
Leave this option de-selected. The program automatically creates the proper header record, regardless of this setting. |
Tail Record |
Leave this option de-selected. The program automatically creates the proper tail record, regardless of this setting. |
Editing an existing MSR Export Destination Record, click More.
CAUTION: To avoid losing data, you must save new or changed records.
To
display the record to be changed, enter the Destination
ID and click Retrieve , or press [ENTER].

Tip: If
you do not know the Destination ID, you can click Search to see a list of Destination records.
To position the pointer to the information that you want to change, press [TAB] or click the field using the mouse.
Enter the data changes.
To
complete the edit process, click Save , or press [ENTER].

Deleting an existing MSR Export Destination Record, click More.
To
display the record to be deleted, enter the Destination
IDand click Retrieve
, or press [ENTER].

Tip: If

Click
File from the Menu
Bar, and next click Delete.

At the Delete Records prompt, click Proceed to delete the record, or click Cancel to escape from the delete routine.
