Update Personal Property Fields

Use the special Update Personal Property Fields utility to change the amounts for the valuation fields or the value of the Property ID in the Tax Master file so that they match the values in the Personal Property Master file in the Assessing module.  The updated valuation fields include Machinery Value, Furniture & Fixture Value, Watercraft Value, and Miscellaneous Value.  The Property ID includes Map/Lot/Sub/Type.

Directions:

• To see instructions for opening the Update Personal Property Fields utility, click More.

   

  1. Click Utilities from the Menu Bar.

  2. Click Tax Master.

  3. Click Update Personal Property Fields.

   

• At the Update Personal Property Fields prompt window, choose the selections.  To see the prompt options, click More.

  Valuation Fields	To update the following valuation fields, click the box so the checkmark appears. Machinery Value Furniture & Fixture Value Watercraft Value Miscellaneous Value
  Property ID	To update the Property ID (Map/Lot/Sub/Type), click the box so the checkmark appears. Note:  In most cases, this simply sets the value to all zeros, which is the normal Property ID value for Tax Accounts with the Personal Property Account Type.
  	To run the utility, click Process or press [ENTER] if the button is in focus. Keyboard shortcut: [ALT + p]
  	To escape from the routine, click Cancel. Keyboard shortcut: [ALT + c]

• To see completion instructions, click More.

   

  At the completion window, click OK to close the program.
