The Relationship ID is the key field that identifies this Relationship information. The ID is used during Patient Entry to describe the relationship between the patient and the guarantor. The guarantor is the person or party assuming financial responsibility for the patient's account. The Relationship ID is also used to describe the patient's relationship to the policy holder for their insurance.
Tip: While the Relationship ID is user-defined, NDS recommends using the following Relationship IDs:
01 for self
02 for spouse
03 for child
04 for other
Notes:
You can maintain guarantor relationships during Patient Entry at the Demographics Window.
