Procedure Analysis Report Instructions

Use the Procedure Analysis Report Instructions to provide your practice with the number of times and the dollar amount of charges generated by each procedure this month and in comparison to this year.  With this report you can easily see the procedures that are more profitable and the procedures that are performed most often. You can sort by the alternate description, which allows similar procedures to be grouped statistically for analysis.  Generally, you will run the Procedure Analysis Report at month-end.

• Opening the Procedure Analysis Report Instructions, click More.

   

  1.  Click Reports from the Menu Bar.

  2.  Click Analysis Reports.

  3.  Click Procedure Analysis.

• Choosing the Selections at the Prompt Window, click More.

   

  Procedure Analysis Report Prompts Tip:  To see more information about a field, click the hyperlink for the field name.
  Procedures	Enter the Procedures to report. (up to 4 characters) Tips: To enter an individual Procedure, simply enter the Procedure code and press [TAB]. To enter a provider of procedures, enter the first procedure code, followed by a comma (,) and the next procedure code.  Continue in this fashion until the list of procedure codes is complete. To enter a range, enter the beginning procedure code followed by a dash (-) and the ending provider. Or, to search for the appropriate procedure code, click Search . Keyboard shortcut:  [CTRL + f].
  Statistics	To include both month-to-date and year-to-date information on the report, click Both MTD & YTD To include only month-to-date information, click Month-to-date. To include only year-to-date information, click Year-to-date.
  Page On Procedure	To print each provider on a separate page, click Yes in the drop-down list. To print all provider on the same page, click No in the drop-down list.
  Include Zero Totals	To include procedures with zero totals, click Yes in the drop-down list. To omit reporting procedures with zero totals, click No in the drop-down list.
  Number of Copies	Enter the Number of Copies for the printed report. (1-99)
  Sort By:	To specify the sort criteria for the report, click a choice. Sort By: Procedure Code Standard Description Alternate Description Units MTD Dollars MTD Units YTD Dollars YTD
  	Displays the default printer number.  For more information, see Printing Options.
  	To begin printing to the Windows® default printer, click Print or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + p]
  	To escape from the print routine, click Cancel. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + c]
