Procedure Statistics Report Instructions

Use the Procedure Statistics Report Instructions to examine procedure statistics by locations, departments and providers.  This report shows the total dollars generated and the number of cases, but it does not include payments and adjustments.  You can check services across the board, compare providers, rate profitability of locations, and monitor departments for inventory needs.  This report provides the practice with data on which providers or locations are performing the expensive procedures.  You can choose to print only monthly or only yearly statistics and to print detail or totals only.  You can print the report by provider if a provider is interested in analyzing his procedure statistics.

Tips:

• Procedure Statistics information is stored in a record maintained in the GMPROC file.  It is updated with services each time the Charge/Payment Post Initialize routine is run.  When the Clear Month/Year To Date Totals routine is run the detail is cleared.

• Opening the Procedure Statistics Report Instructions, click More.

   

  1.  Click Reports from the Menu Bar.

  2.  Click Management Reports.

  3.  Click Procedure Statistics Report.

  Procedure Statistics Report Prompts Tip:  To see more information about a field, click the hyperlink for the field name.
  Providers	Enter the Provider Codes to report. (up to 4 characters) Tips: To enter an individual provider, simply enter their provider code and press [TAB]. To enter a group of providers, enter the first provider code, followed by a comma (,) and the next provider code.  Continue in this fashion until the list of provider codes is complete. To enter a range, enter the beginning provider code followed by a dash (-) and the ending provider. Or, to search for the appropriate provider code, click Search . Keyboard shortcut:  [CTRL + f].
  Locations	Enter the Location Codes to report. (up to 2 characters) Tips: To enter an individual location, simply enter their location code and press [TAB]. To enter a group of locations, enter the first location code, followed by a comma (,) and the next location code.  Continue in this fashion until the list of location codes is complete. To enter a range, enter the beginning location code followed by a dash (-) and the ending location. Or, to search for the appropriate location code, click Search . Keyboard shortcut:  [CTRL + f].
  Departments	Enter the Department Codes to report. (up to 2 characters) Tips: To enter an individual department, simply enter their department code and press [TAB].   Procedures	Enter the Procedures to report. (up to 4 characters) Tips: To enter an individual Procedure, simply enter the Procedure code and press [TAB]. To enter a provider of procedures, enter the first procedure code, followed by a comma (,) and the next procedure code.  Continue in this fashion until the list of procedure codes is complete. To enter a range, enter the beginning procedure code followed by a dash (-) and the ending procedure. Or, to search for the appropriate procedure code, click Search . Keyboard shortcut:  [CTRL + f].
  Type Processing	To print totals only, click to select this box. To include detail and totals, leave this box blank.
  Statistics	To include both month-to-date and year-to-date information on the report, click Both MTD & YTD. To include only month-to-date information, click Month-to-date. To include only year-to-date information, click Year-to-date.
  Sort By	To specify the sort criteria for the report, click up to three choices. Sort Options: Provider Location Department Procedure Code Units MTD Dollars MTD Units YTD Dollars YTD
  Selected Sort Options	Displays the selected sort options for your reference.
  Totals	To print totals by the sort criteria selected, click to select this box. To omit printing totals, de-select this box. Note:  There are three totals available.  Totals are based on the sort criteria selected.  For example, if you select to sort by locations, providers and procedures, the totals will reflect that.
  	Displays the default printer number.  For more information, see Printing Options.
  	To run the routine, click Print or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + p]
  	To escape from the routine: Click Cancel. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + c] Or, click Close .
