Patient Letters Print Instructions

Use the Patient Letters Print Instructions to print letters for the patients in the Account Balance Letters Workfile.  You can use this routine to print a variety of letters including collection letters and past due letters for individual patients or for groups of patients.

Tips:  

• This routine uses the information in the Account Balance Letters Workfile to generate data in an XML format and sends it to a job site file that you specify.

• During installation, the letter format and the job site file (job to the print file) are defined using your specifications.  For information, contact NDS Technical Support.

• Opening the Patient Letters Print Instructions, click More.

   

  1.  Click Reports from the Menu Bar.

  2.  Click Patient Letters.

  3.  Click Patient Letter.

• Choosing the Selections at the Prompt Window, click More.

   

  Patient Letters Print Prompts Tip:  To see more information about a field, click the hyperlink for the field name.
  Account #	Enter the patient accounts to print a letter for. (up to 6 characters) To build a list of patient accounts, enter the first patient account number followed by a comma (,), then the second patient account number.  Continue in this fashion until all patients are entered. Tip:  To search for the appropriate patient account number, click Search .
  Credit Messages	To include the patient credit messages in the XML letter stream, click to select this box. To omit the patient credit messages in the XML letter stream, de-select this box.
  Appointments	To include the patient appointments in the XML letter stream, click to select this box. To omit the patient appointments in the XML letter stream, de-select this box.
  Copies	To specify the number of copies of each letter to print, enter the number. (2.0 numeric)
  	To begin printing to the Windows® default printer, click Print, or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + p] Note:  Generally to print XML letters you will select an interface printer.
  	To run the routine and print to the Print View window, click here.
  	To escape from the print routine, click Cancel. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + c]
  Select Job Step Note:  The Select Job Step allows you to select the letter to print during this print job.
  	After selecting the interface printer, a similar Select Job dialog window displays:
  Job Name	To specify the letter to print, click to select the appropriate Job Name. Note:  For more information on setting up the letters, contact NDS Technical Support.

   

• Report Sample(s), click More.
