Scheduling Resource Master Clock Maintenance

Use Scheduling Resource Master Clock Maintenance to maintain specific time intervals for specific dates the resource is available to be scheduled.  You can be specific to 5 minute intervals.  When you create the Resource Master during Scheduling Resource Master Maintenance you specify the general time periods the resource is available.  You can then use this maintenance to fine tune the available times within 5 minute intervals.  You can also temporarily set the resource to unavailable if for example, a resource is being repaired during a particular time.

Notes:  

• Default values for each resource's master clock are automatically generated when you first maintain a Resource Master during Scheduling Resource Master Maintenance.

• Each time an appointment is scheduled for the resource, the resource master clock Time Intervals are updated.

• Opening Scheduling Additional Resource Master Clock Maintenance, click More.

   

  • Click File Maintenance from the Menu Bar, and next click Scheduling Maintenance; then click Resource Master Clock.

  • Or, use the keyboard shortcut:  [ALT] [m] [c] [c].

   

• Editing an existing Resource Master Clock, click More.

   

  CAUTION:  To avoid losing data, you must save new or changed records.

  1.  To display the record to be changed, enter the Resource Master ID and the calendar date and click Retrieve , or press [ENTER] if the button is in focus.
  Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + t]
  
  Tip:  If you do not know the Resource Master ID, you can click Search  to see a list of resources.

  2.  To position the pointer to the information that you want to change, press [TAB] or click the field using the mouse.

  3.  Enter the data changes.

  4.  To complete the edit process, click Save , or press [ENTER] if the button is in focus.

  Resource Master Clock Maintenance Prompts Tip:  To see more information about a field, click the hyperlink for the field name.
  Resource Master ID	Enter a valid defined Resource Master ID maintained during Scheduling Resource Master Maintenance.  (up to 6 characters) Required
  Date	Enter the date to display the availability of the resource. [mm/dd/yyyy, slashes (/) not necessary]
  	To update the new or changed information, click Save or press [ENTER] if the button is in focus. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + s]
  	CAUTION To avoid losing data, you must save new or changed records.
  	To view all of the existing resources, click Search.  From the Search list you can select the record to change or delete. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + r]
  	To display an existing resource, enter the Resource Master ID and click Retrieve, or press [ENTER] if the button is in focus. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + t]
  Resource Master Name	Displays for your reference the Resource Master Name associated with the Resource Master ID.
  Resource Available	Displays for your reference the resource master Resource Available setting.
  Notes:   Using military time, INSight maintains for each Resource Master, a 24-hour x 5-minute interval-per-hour grid for each day.  This allows you to specify if the resource is available for each 5 minute interval. Using the directions below, individually set the fields 00 minute 00 hour through 55 minute 23 hour for each hour the resource is available. You can not edit Time Intervals reserved for an appointment.
  00 minute of 00 hour	The default value for the Time Interval is automatically generated when you first maintain the Shift 1 & 2 Day Start Times and Shift 1 & 2 Day End Times for the Resource Master. Display values: Y - YES displays, if the resource is available during the Time Interval for the date specified. N - No displays if the resource is not available during the Time Interval for the date specified. # - Displays the Number of appointments if the Time Interval is reserved for an appointment. To edit: To allow the resource to be scheduled, enter y(es). To prevent the resource from being scheduled, enter N(o). Notes:   You can not edit Time Intervals reserved for an appointment. To maintain each block of the time grid, follow these directions.
