Field Description - Direct Deposit Effective Date

The Direct Deposit Effective Date is the date that the bank is to enact the direct deposit transactions.  Usually the Effective Date is the same as the Check Date.

Note:  The Effective Date must be a predetermined number of days after the Direct Deposit Transmission Date so the bank has lead time to process the transactions.  The DD-Days Table controls the number of lead days required (usually two).  For timing information, refer to the Payroll Runbook.

Tip:  For more information, refer to the topic, Advanced Feature - Setting Up Direct Deposit.

Format:  Date (MM/DD/CCYY).  Slashes are optional.
