Field Description - FICA Withholding Amount Totals - Medicare

The fields for FICA Withholding Amount Totals - Medicare contain various totals accumulated during the current year for Medicare-Only FICA Withholding Amounts.

Notes:

• The settings for Deduction Exemptions and Other Pay Exemptions control how the system updates these fields.

• You can view YTD totals during Employee Totals Master Maintenance in the YTD Totals Area.

• You can view MTD totals and totals for each of the four quarters in the current year during Employee Quarterly Totals Maintenance in the Quarterly Totals Area.

• You can view MTD totals for any month within the current year during Employee Monthly Totals Maintenance in the Withholding Totals Area.

• The system updates these fields, so you do not normally need to edit them.

• The Period End Clear process clears these fields when you specify a calendar clear.
