Field Description - Patient Last Name

The Patient Last Name contains the Last Name for the patient.

Notes:  

• To increase the likelihood of successful patient searches using Last Name, adhere to a common standard when entering patient names.
  Example:  When entering a 2-part name, like St. Pierre, enter Saint as ST.

• To set up family members, you can enter a valid patient Account Number in the Last Name field to automatically fill in the associated patient information in the Last Name, Address, City, State, Zip and Phone Number fields (excluding the First Name & Init field).

• The patient's Last Name is required for billing purposes.

• Patient Wizard - Demographics Area
