The Specialty Code is the key field that uniquely identifies provider specialty information. Specialty Codes categorize the services provided and are assigned to scheduling providers. They are used during Scheduling and during Patient Entry at the Referral Authorization Window.
Note: You can view and maintain the Specialty Code during Scheduling Specialty Maintenance.
