Patient Entry - Referral Authorization Window
Use the Patient Entry - Referral Authorization Window to maintain information about patient referrals. You can create both incoming (patients being referred to your practice) and outgoing (your patients that you are referring to a specialist) referrals for patients. For each referral authorization you can maintain the insurance carrier, treatment dates, provider codes and diagnoses.

View and maintain the patient's authorization number, referral status, insurance carrier and benefit plan. |

View and maintain the patient's referring provider information. For incoming referrals maintain the source of the referral, the group and the specialty. |

View and maintain the patient's referral source information, or for patients being referred to your practice maintain their provider information. |

View and maintain the patient's referral treatment start and end dates. |

View and maintain the number of patient visits authorized and the number of patient visits remaining. |

To view and maintain the patient's employer information, click Employer. |

To view and maintain the patient's diagnoses associated with the referral, click Diagnosis. Tip: The Diagnosis Area opens automatically when the Referral Authorization Window is opened. |

To view and maintain comments about the patient referral authorization, click Comments. |

To view detailed information about appointments assigned to the referral authorization, click Appointments. |
