Patient Entry - Credit Messages Window
Use the Patient Entry - Credit Messages Window to maintain information about all correspondence and phone conversations between your practice and your patients. This includes recall letters, correspondence generated by INSight's Patient Letter Writer, phone conversations, HCFA claims and patient statements.
Note: To automatically update a patient's account with a Credit Message you must print a letter generated by the Patient Letter Writer, and the letter must be assigned a C for Credit Message.
Tips:
The Credit Message Window has three main areas.
Credit Messages - The top area is
reserved for credit message information.
Note: There are two ways to maintain Credit Messages.
You can maintain messages manually or you can use the Patient
Letter Writer to update patient credit messages. To notify you
that a patient has credit messages, the first message displays during
Patient
Transaction Detail Inquires. Additionally, you can print
the Credit
Message Followup Report to see Credit Message information.
HCFA Claims Tracking - The middle area displays HCFA claims tracking.
Statement Tracking - The bottom
area displays patient statement tracking.
