The Letter Writer menu contains commands used to merge INSight patient data into predefined letters to create personalized patient letters covering a wide range of practice to patient correspondence. You can print a personalized letter for a selected patient such as a welcome letter, or personalized letters for selected patients. For example, you can use Letter Writer to generate letters for patients such as surveys, demographic information sheets, general practices notices like a new provider introduction, change of address notices and doctor retirement notices. In addition, certain INSight routines have an option to build letters based on the parameters that you select. These letters are printed during the Batch Letter Writer routine.
Notes:
Patient letters are defined by your practice and must be set up using a CURL routine called Add/Change/Delete Letter Formats.
For more information, see INSight Letter Writer Instructions.
Do not confuse Letter Writer and Batch Letter Writer routines with Patient Letters. Letter Writer and Batch Letter Writer routines use predefined letters created during CURL routines and Patient Letters uses XML to create custom letters.
