The Referral Source Code is the key field that identifies the referral information. Assign a Referral Source Code for each source of referral your practice has. A Referral Source Code should be created for each referring physician and for any other places or sources that your practice receives referrals from. Examples of other (non-physician) referral sources include Yellow Page ads, friends and families.
