Customer Inquiry - Inquire By Selection Area

Use the Inquire By Selection Area to choose the type of inquiry and to specify the customer, location, inventory item or property location to view.  The table following the window example describes the Inquire By Selection Area for the Customer Inquiry.

Tips:

• The Inquire By field labels change depending on the type of inquiry you select.

• Opening the Customer Inquiry, click More.

   

  Note:  The Customer Inquiry window automatically opens when Edifice is launched.

  To display the Customer Inquiry after starting other windows, click Customer Inquiry on the Edifice Toolbar.

   

  Customer Inquiry - Inquire By Selection Area Example:

  

   

• Inquiring by Customer, click More.

   

  Customer Inquiry by Customer - Inquire By Selection Area Prompts Tip:  To see more information about a field, click the hyperlink for the field name.
  Inquire By	To inquire by customer, click Customer in the drop-down list. Other Inquire By Options: Location - Inquire by Location ID. Inventory Item Number - Inquire by Meter ID, Trailer ID, or Component ID. Location Street Number - Inquire by the combined Location Street Name and House Number of the property location.
  Customer Inquiry - Inquire By Customer Area Example:
  Customer	Entry Options: Enter the valid Customer ID to view. (up to 12 characters) To search for a customer, click Customer Search . Or, use the Keyboard shortcut:  [CTRL + f] Or, to search for a Location Billing ID, click Billing Location Search . Or, to quickly select a previously displayed account from the shortcut menu: Left-click in the Customer field. Right-click for the shortcut menu. Click an account in the list.

   

• Inquiring by Location, click More.

   

  Customer Inquiry by Location - Inquire By Selection Area Prompts Tip:  To see more information about a field, click the hyperlink for the field name.
  Inquire By	To inquire by location, click Location in the drop-down list. Other Inquire By Options: Customer - Inquire by Customer ID. Inventory Item Number - Inquire by Meter ID, Trailer ID, or Component ID. Location Street Number - Inquire by the combined Location Street Name and House Number of the property location.
  Note:  The Inquire By field labels change when you inquire by Location.   Customer Inquiry - Inquire By Location Area Example:

  Note:  The Inquire By field labels change when you inquire by Inventory Item. Customer Inquiry - Inquire By Inventory Item Area Example:
  Inventory Item	To select the type of inventory to view, click a choice in the drop-down list.
  Inventory Item Number	Entry Options: If you select Meter, enter a valid Meter ID. (up to 10 characters) If you select Trailer, enter a valid Trailer ID. (up to 18 characters) If you select Component, enter a valid Component ID. (up to 10 characters) Or, click Search to look for the desired Meter, Trailer or Component, click Search . Or, use the Keyboard shortcut:  [CTRL + f] Or, to search for a Location Billing ID, click Billing Location Search .

   

• Inquiring by Street Name, click More.

  Inquire By	To inquire by Location Street Name, click Location Street Name in the drop-down list. Other Inquire By Options: Customer - Inquire by Customer ID. Location - Inquire by Location ID. Inventory Item Number - Inquire by Meter ID, Trailer ID, or Component ID.

  Location Street Name	Enter the Location Street Index Name. (up to 20 characters)
  House Number	Enter the House Number associated with the Street Index Name to view. (up to 20 characters)
