EDIFICE Inquiry - Location View

Use the Location view to view and manage information about the service location.  Information includes account basics, address, property information and location user definable fields.  Multiple locations can be maintained and locations can be removed from an account.  The owner and a tenant can be managed here as well.

 

Directions:

From the EDIFICE Inquiry, click View and then click Location.

Note:  Each section of the view can be expanded or collapsed to suit your needs.  To collapse a section, click Collapse .  To expand a collapsed section, click Expand .

Location Tools

There are several tools you can use for maintaining locations, owner and tenant information.

Connection Tools explanation:

  • Add New Location - To add a new location, click Add New Location and the Add Location wizard opens for entering the location information.

  • Edit Location - To edit location information, click Edit Location and the Edit Location wizard opens for changing the location information.

  • Change Owner - To change the owner of the location, click Change Owner and the Add/Change Location Owner wizard opens for changing the owner of the location.

  • Change Tenant - To add, change or remove the tenant at the location, click Change Tenant and the Add/Change/Remove Location Tenant wizard opens and will take you through the steps of completing this process.

  • Remove Location - To remove the current location for this account, click Remove and the Remove Location wizard opens for removing it.

Location Information

This area shows general information for the location.  To see additional details hover over Additional Info .

 

Location Information

 

  • Book - Book number for the location.  To change choose another book from the list.

  • Cycle - Cycle number for the location, if your company is set up for cycle billing.

  • Sequence - Sequence number for the location.

  • Route - U.S. Postal Service Carrier Route Number for the location, if applicable.

  • Status - Indicates whether the location is occupied or vacant.

  • Memo - Informational line pertaining to the location.

  • Owner - Owner ID and name of person owning the location.

  • Tenant - Tenant ID and name of person who is the tenant at the location if applicable.

  • Facility Type - Describes the type of facility at this location.

Address Information

This area shows the location address and physical coordinates.  The street index and coordinates can be changed.

Address

The physical address of the location that is made up of the house number, street index and unit number displays.  Each field can be changed it needed.  The Location address describes the physical location of the location and may be different than the customer's mailing address. 

To edit the street name, click Edit .  Or, to look for a different street, click Search .

Coordinates

To view and maintain the longitude, latitude and elevation geographical coordinates for the location, click coordinates link.  A map will open where coordinates can be entered.  The coordinates will display in the Map view and can be used during the Meter Export.

  • To try to obtain the coordinates from the location address, click From Address.  

  • To view the coordinates in a separate browser, click View in Browser.

 

 

Location Property Information

In this area you can view and maintain the Map/Lot description for the location, property ID and the Registry of Deeds book and page numbers.

 

Location User Definable Information

In this area you can view and maintain information specific to your organization. Because these fields are custom to your organization, the fields in the documentation may not match the fields on your screen.  Alpha user definable fields will have drop-down lists from which you can choose an entry or you can enter an entry that is not listed.  Adding an entry will make it available for the next time.
