Billing Message Table Maintenance

Use Billing Message Table Maintenance to maintain the message lines, billing date and the due date that can print on all customer statements.

Notes:  

• The Number of Billing Message Lines option on the Billing Parameter Table determines how many billing message lines print on customers' statements.

• Opening Billing Message Table Maintenance, click More.

   

  1.  Click Daily Work from the Menu Bar.

  2.  Click File Maintenance.

  3.  Click Table Maintenance.

  4.  Click Billing Tables.

  5.  Click Billing Message Table.
  
  Tip:  Or, use the keyboard shortcut:  [ALT] [y] [m] [t] [b] [m].

• Creating a new Billing Message Table, click More.

  Tip:  To indicate that you are building a new Billing Message, New  displays near the BMESSAGE name.  Default entries display and the first field is highlighted to let you know you can begin entering information.

  Billing Message Table Maintenance Prompts Tip:  To see more information about a field, click the hyperlink for the field name.
  	To update the new or changed information, click Save or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + s]
  	CAUTION To avoid losing data, you must save new or changed records.
  	The Search function is not available during this routine.
  	To display the existing Billing Message Table, click Retrieve, or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + t]
  Billing Date	Enter the Billing Date to print on all statements. (mm/dd/ccyy)
  Due Date	Enter the Bill Due Date to print on all customer statements. (mm/dd/ccyy)
  Message Line 1	Enter the first line of the message to print on all statements. (up to 40 characters)
  Message Lines 2 - 3	Enter the second and third line of the message to print on all statements, if applicable. (up to 40 characters)
  Extended Information	To print additional information if the three Statement Message lines do not provide enough space for a global statement message, enter up to 10 lines, if applicable. (up to 10 lines, with up to 80 characters per line)

   

• Editing an existing Billing Message Table, click More.

   

  CAUTION:  To avoid losing data, you must save new or changed records.

  1. To position the pointer to the information that you want to change, press [TAB] or click the field using the mouse.

  2. Enter the data changes.

  3. To complete the edit process, click Save , or press [ENTER].
     Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + s]

   

• Deleting an existing Billing Message Table, click More.

   

  The Delete Command is not available for Billing Message Table Maintenance.
