Shut Off Parameter Maintenance

Use Shut Off Parameter Maintenance to maintain certain Shut Off Parameters used for processing customer shut off notices.  During this maintenance you can specify whether or not to process multiple services during the shut off process.

Tips:  

• Once the shut off parameter information is set, you do not usually need to change it.

• Opening Shut Off Parameter Maintenance, click More.

   

  1.  Click Processes from the Menu.

  2.  Click Shut Off.

  3.  Click Shut Off Parameter Maintenance.

• Creating a shut off parameter, click More.

   

  Shut Off Parameter Maintenance Prompts
  	To update the new or changed information, click Save or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + s]
  	CAUTION To avoid losing data, you must save new or changed records.
  	Note:  Search is not available during this routine.
  	To display an existing shut off parameter record, click Retrieve, or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + t]
  Title	Enter the title of the Shut Off Parameter record. (up to 20 characters)
  Description	Enter the full description associated with the Shut Off Parameter record. (up to 40 characters)
  Shut Off Information
  Multi-Service Balance	Note:  This field is reserved for future use.
  Multi-Service Transactions	To consider all services for each customer in the shut off process, click Yes in the drop-down list. To limit services to those specified during the Shut Off Create Workfile routine, click No in the drop-down list.

   

• Editing a shut off parameter, click More.

   

  CAUTION:  To avoid losing data, you must save new or changed records.

  1.  Position the pointer to the information that you want to change.

  2.  Enter the data changes.

  3.  To complete the edit process, click Save , or press [ENTER].

• Deleting a shut off parameter, click More.

   

  1.  To display the record to be deleted, click Retrieve , or press [ENTER].
  Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + t]

  2.  Click File from the Menu Bar, and next click Delete .
  Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT] [f] [d]

  3.  At the Delete Records prompt, click Proceed to delete the record, or click Cancel to escape from the delete routine.
