Shut Off Service Parameter Maintenance

Use Shut Off Service Parameter Maintenance to maintain certain shut off parameters for each service you have.  You can specify the billing transaction profile that contains the transaction codes to generate customer shut off charges for the service.

Tip:  Once the shut off parameter information is set, you do not usually need to change it.

• Opening Shut Off Service Parameter Maintenance, click More.

   

  1.  Click Processes from the Menu Bar.

  2.  Click Shut Off.

  3.  Click Shut Off Service Parameter Maintenance.
  
  Tip:  Or, use the keyboard shortcut:  [ALT] [p] [s] [d].

• Creating a Shut Off Service Parameter, click More.

   

  Shut Off Service Parameter Maintenance Prompts
  Service ID	Enter a defined service code and click Retrieve , or press [ENTER]. (2.0 numeric) Tips:   To view all of the existing shut off service parameter records, click Search .  From the Search list you can select the record to change or delete. If you are building a new shut off service parameter, New  displays near the Service ID.  Default entries display and the first field is highlighted to let you know you can begin entering information.
  	To update the new or changed information, click Save or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + s]
  	CAUTION To avoid losing data, you must save new or changed records.
  Title	Enter the title of the shut off service parameter record. (up to 20 characters)
  Description	Enter the full description associated with the shut off service parameter record. (up to 40 characters)
  Shut Off Transaction Information
  Transaction Profile ID	Enter the billing transaction profile ID associated with the service that contains the transaction codes for generating the shut off charge transactions for the appropriate customers. (up to 12 characters) Notes:   To search for a billing Transaction Profile ID, click Search or press [CTRL + f]. To create a new billing Transaction Profile ID, click Fast Maintenance or press [CTRL + o].

   

• Editing a Shut Off Service Parameter, click More.

   

  CAUTION:  To avoid losing data, you must save new or changed records.

  1.  To display the record to be changed, enter the Service ID and click Retrieve , or press [ENTER].
  Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + t]
  
  Tip:  If you do not know the Service ID, you can click Search  to see a list of Shut Off Service Parameters.

  2.  To position the pointer to the information that you want to change, press [TAB] or click the field using the mouse.

  3.  Enter the data changes.

  4.  To complete the edit process, click Save , or press [ENTER].

• Deleting a Shut Off Service Parameter, click More.

   

  1.  To display the record to be deleted, enter the Service ID and click Retrieve , or press [ENTER].
  Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + t]
  Tip:  If you do not know the Service ID, you can click Search  to see a list of Shut Off Service Parameter records.

  2.  Click File from the Menu Bar, and next click Delete.
  Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT] [f] [d]

  3.  At the Delete Records prompt, click Proceed to delete the record, or click Cancel to escape from the delete routine.
