Console Item Wizards - Introduction
Use the Console Item Wizards to manage your favorite files that appear in the Console Items Panels of the Executive Console and the application's User Console. These wizards allow you to maintain console items such as word processing documents, spreadsheets, data bases, executable programs (.exe), and Crystal Reports.
Important: Make sure you include the EMS server location in your backups, so that console items are protected.

Tips:
When
you maintain console items within an application, the changes always appear
on the EMS Executive
Console and on the application's User
Console. This
gives EMS an overview of the applications.
However, when you maintain console items within EMS, they only appear
on the Executive Console, not
on the application's User Console.
An added console item is copied to your EMS server location, and the original file remains unchanged. For example, if you add a Word Document and subsequently open it from a console to make changes, the original document remains unmodified.
A removed console item is removed from the console; however the file is not deleted from your EMS server location.
To maintain NDS application reports, processes, and auto notify items on the console, use the Job Console within the appropriate application.
