Shortcut Menu - Mouse Right-Click

The shortcut menu appears when you click the right mouse button (right-click).  Fund Accounting Workbench includes different shortcut menus for different purposes.  For example, most fields contain a shortcut menu for manipulating the text in the field.  This topic describes the most commonly used shortcut menus.

Tip:  Some modules may have additional shortcut menus for functions unique to the module.


 

Toolbar Shortcut Menu

To display the Toolbar shortcut menu, position the pointer anywhere on the Toolbar, and then right-click.

Tip:  To see information about the Toolbar shortcut menu option, click More.

Tip of the Day

Displays the Tip of the Day.

Tip:  This command reinstates the Tip of the Day if you previously deactivated it during startup.

Help

Displays the online WebHelp manual.

Properties

Displays the form properties.

Note:  This option is for use by NDS Technical Support personnel.

 


 

Field-Level Shortcut Menu

To display the field-level shortcut menu, left-click in any field box, and then right-click.

Tip:  To see information about the Field Level shortcut menu options, click More.

Undo

Reverses the last command.

Cut

Moves text from one field to another (or from one location within a field to another) in partnership with the Paste command.

To move text:

1.  Highlight the text you want to move and click Cut.
Tip
:  You can highlight partial text within a field.

2.  Position the cursor to the target location, right-click, and then click Paste.

Note:  Cut differs from Copy in that Cut removes the text from the original location (when you click Paste).

Copy

Copies text from one field to another (or from one location within a field to another) in partnership with the Paste command.

To copy text:

1.  Highlight the text you want to copy and click Copy.
Tip
:  You can highlight partial text within a field.

2.  Position the cursor to the target location, right-click, and then click Paste.

Note:  Copy differs from Cut in that Copy leaves the original text intact.

Paste

Inserts text that was previously cut or copied.

To paste text, position the cursor to the target location, right-click, and then click Paste.

Note:  Clicking Paste after clicking Cut deletes the original highlighted text.

Delete

Erases highlighted text.

To delete text:

  • Highlight the text, right-click, and then click Delete.

  • Or, highlight the text and press [DEL].

Note:  Delete differs from Cut in that Delete does not move the text to another location.

Select All

Highlights the entire contents of the field.

Properties

Displays field properties.  This is handy to see formatting rules for a field.

Help

Launches Field-Level Help.

Window-Level Shortcut Menu

To display the Window-Level shortcut menu, position the pointer in a blank area of the window, and then right-click.

Tip:  To see information about the Window-Level shortcut menu options, click More.

View Record Values

Helps to identify fields containing invalid data.

Note:  This option is for use by NDS Technical Support personnel.

Properties

Displays the form properties.

Note:  This option is for use by NDS Technical Support personnel.

Help

Launches Form-Level Help for the window.

Search List Shortcut Menu

To display the Search List shortcut menu, position the pointer anywhere in the list of records displayed in the Search window, and then right-click.

Tip:  To see information about the Search List shortcut menu options, click More.

Set Column Size

Automatically resizes all columns so that the entire heading and field contents are visible (without truncation of any of the values).

Note:  This option is for use by NDS Technical Support personnel.

 


 

WebHelp Topic Shortcut Menu

To display the WebHelp shortcut menu, position the pointer anywhere in the Viewing Pane area (on the right) or the Navigation Pane (on the left), and then right-click.

WebHelp Hyperlink Shortcut Menu

To display the Hyperlink shortcut menu, position the pointer on top of a hyperlink in WebHelp, and then right-click.

Tips:

1.  Locate the topic for the Glossary of Terms in the Navigation Pane.

2.  To display the shortcut menu, right-click the topic name.

3.  To add the topic to your Windows favorites list, click Add to Favorites.
Tip
:  When you display the topic from your Favorites menu, click Show Table of Contents  to see the WebHelp menu on the left.
