Plate Inventory Cycle Close

Use the Plate Inventory Cycle Close routine to close the plate inventory cycle.  When all the plate inventory reports have been proofed and verified, the next step in the cycle process is to run the Plate Inventory Cycle Close routine.  The Plate Inventory Cycle Close moves the Ending On Hand amounts to the Beginning On Hand amounts for the plate and permit inventory.  In addition, this routine clears the daily totals if the process is for daily and if the routine is being run for the cycle it will clear both daily and cycle totals.  The totals to be cleared include Inventory Received, Issued, Adjusted and Ending On Hand amounts.

Notes:  

• You are only allowed to run this routine if the message Plate Cycle is Active displays, indicating that the cycle is in progress.  

• The Plate Inventory Cycle Close is generally the eighth step in the Cycle process.  For more information on the timing and sequence of cycle tasks, see Cycle Processing Procedure.

• Once the Plate Inventory Cycle Close is run, you will no longer be able to generate the plate inventory reports or adjustments.
