Number of Pay Periods Table Maintenance (WKn)
Use Number of Pay Periods Table Maintenance (WKn) to designate the number of pay periods per year for each Run Code.

Tips:
If you do not create the Pay Periods tables, Run Code 3 automatically defaults to 26 pay periods per year. Run Codes 1-2 and 4-9 default to 52 pay periods per year.

Instead of using this table, the MSRS retirement programs use the Expected Pay Pds per Year field maintained during Employee Master Maintenance - Employee Retirement Fields Area.

Click Payroll from the Menu Bar.
Click Miscellaneous File Maintenance.
Click Table FM.
Click Numeric Tables.
Click
Number of Pay Periods (WKn).

Number of Pay Periods (WKn) Table Maintenance Window Example:
Creating a new pay period table for a Run Code, click More.
Caution: You can not later delete any new pay periods tables.
To create a new table for a Run Code:
Add the new Run Code during Run Code Description Table Maintenance.
Close and reopen the Payroll module to activate the new Run Code.
Open Number of Pay Periods Table Maintenance (WKn).
In the Table ID field, click to select the new Run Code in the drop-down list.

To select the table you want to maintain, click the Run Code in the Table ID drop-down list. (predefined) Tips:

To update the changed information, click Save or press [ENTER]. Keyboard shortcut: [ALT + s] | |

Retrieve is not required in this program. | |
Enter the Table Title, which is an abbreviated name for the table. (up to 14 characters) | |
Enter the Table Description, which is the full name of the table. (up to 79 characters) | |
Enter the number of Pay Periods Per Year for the specified Run Code. (6.2 numeric) Example: To enter 52 weeks per year, enter 52. The value displays as .52, which is correct. |
Editing the pay period tables, click More.
CAUTION: To avoid losing data, you must save changed records.
To display the record to be changed, click the Run Code in the Table ID drop-down list.
To position the pointer to the information that you want to change, press [TAB] or click the field using the mouse.
Enter the data changes.
To
complete the edit process, click Save , or press [ENTER].

Deleting an existing pay period table, click More.
Note: To maintain data integrity, you can not delete any pay period tables.
