Field Description - Appointment Status

The Appointment Status describes the current position the appointment has in the schedule process.  INSight assigns the Status of scheduled when you first maintain the appointment.

Appointment Statuses & Icons:

• - Scheduled:  The appointment has been scheduled.

• - Checked In:  The patient has arrived at the scheduling location for appointment.
  Note:  After the patient is checked in, the appointment line is highlighted in green as well.

• - Take Back:  The patient is in the exam room, has been seen by a provider assistant, and is waiting for the provider.

• - Lab:  The patient has gone to the lab.

• - Checked Out - The appointment is complete, the patient is leaving.
