Scheduling Provider Date Maintenance

Use Scheduling Provider Date Maintenance to assign a status or multiple statuses to a provider for a given date and to maintain details about the provider's status.  The Provider Date information displays during Scheduling in the provider's column heading to alert you as to the activities of each provider for a given day.

Tips:  

• To display provider date information in the scheduling column heading you must set Scheduling User Preferences.

• Opening Scheduling Provider Date Maintenance, click More.

   

  • Click File Maintenance from the Menu Bar, and next click Scheduling Maintenance; then click Provider Date.

  • Or, during the scheduling window, double-click on a Provider's column heading.

  • Or, use the keyboard shortcut:  [ALT] [m] [c] [ARROW DOWN].

   

• Creating a new Scheduling Provider Date, click More.

  To create a new record choose one of these methods:

  • Enter the new Provider Code and the Date and next click Retrieve , or press [ENTER] if the button is in focus.
    Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + t]

  • Or, enter the new Provider Code and the Date and next click File from the Menu Bar; next click New.
    Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT] [f] [n]

  Tip:  To indicate that you are building a new Provider Date, New  displays near the Provider Code/Date.  Default entries display and the first field is highlighted to let you know you can begin entering information.

  Scheduling Provider Date Maintenance Prompts Tip:  To see more information about a field, click the hyperlink for the field name.
  Provider Code	Enter the desired Scheduling Provider Code.  (up to 4 characters)
  Date	Enter the date of the provider's status. Or, click in the date field to display the scheduling pop-up calendar.  To select the desired date, click the date on the calendar. Tip:  For directions, see Scheduling Pop-up Calendar.
  	To update the new or changed information, click Save or press [ENTER] if the button is in focus. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + s]
  	CAUTION To avoid losing data, you must save new or changed records.
  	To view all of the existing provider dates, click Search.  From the Search list you can select the record to change or delete. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + r]
  	To display an existing provider date, enter the Provider Code and Date and click Retrieve, or press [ENTER] if the button is in focus. Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + t]
  Status	To select the status ID click the check box that applies to the provider for this date.   Note:  To select all statuses, click the Select All icon (to the right of the statuses).
  Note	Enter a note to give details of the provider's activities, if applicable. (up to 100 characters)

   

• Editing an existing Scheduling Provider Date, click More.

   

  CAUTION:  To avoid losing data, you must save new or changed records.

  1.  To display the record to be changed, enter the Provider Code and the Date and click Retrieve , or press [ENTER] if the button is in focus.
  Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + t]
  
  Tip:  If you do not know the Provider Code and Date, you can click Search  to see a list of provider dates.

  2.  To position the pointer to the information that you want to change, press [TAB] or click the field using the mouse.

  3.  Enter the data changes.

  4.  To complete the edit process, click Save , or press [ENTER] if the button is in focus.

• Deleting an existing Scheduling Provider Date, click More.

   

  1.  To display the record to be deleted, enter the Provider Code and the Date and next click Retrieve , or press [ENTER] if the button is in focus.
  Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT + t]
  Tip:  If you do not know the Provider Code and the Date, you can click Search  to see a list of Provider Dates.

  2.  Click File from the Menu Bar, and next click Delete.
  Keyboard shortcut:  [ALT] [f] [d]

  3.  At the Delete Records prompt, click Proceed to delete the record, or click Cancel to escape from the delete routine.
